About Quetzal

Quetzal is our fun-loving Argentinian male, who brings a bit of diversity to our program. His sire line goes back to one of the very best Argentinian males, CH Lobo de Blancos de Sur BH. His pedigree is largely made up of the domestic lines of Argentina, but his maternal grandsire, Carioca Kann Schimmelpfeng, brings in a splash of Brazilian lines.

ABOUT THE LUCKY LITTER

planned summer 2025

We are very excited to announce our first longhair x longhair pairing since 2020(!). From this combination we expect medium energy levels and drives with absolutely correct and beautiful breed type and structure. This combination will be best for companionship, dog shows, and sports such as rally obedience or nosework. Both parents are stable in temperament, handler-oriented, and sociable. Everyone who meets sire Quetzal immediately falls in love with him--he is a bit of a class clown and adores attention, while also being an excellent worker in obedience. Though Quetzal is still young, he has already earned his Show Champion title and we plan to work towards his Grand Show Champion and some obedience/rally titles this year. Neva has just arrived in the USA and has already earned all of the points and 2/3 wins towards her Show Champion title, which we hope to finish out after this litter goes home. In France, Neva the CSAU (Certificat de Sociabilité et d'Aptitude à l'Utilisation // Certificate of Sociability and Aptitude for Work), which includes basic obedience and temperament test portions, a bit like an American CGC. She also passed the TAN (Test d'Aptitudes Naturelles // Natural Aptitude Test), which is a basic temperament test.

The expected Coefficient of Inbreeding (eCOI) for this combination is 25%, a smidge lower than our current breed average of 26%.
