About Quetzal

Quetzal hails from Mendoza, Argentina where he was bred by Evelyn Buffa // Zeichen Von Wolf. Quetzal's lineage is largely Argentinian, although his grandfather, Carioca Kann Schimmelpfeng, adds a splash of Brazilian lines. Our hope is that Quetzal's South American lines will bring diversity to our program, which is so far largely based on European lines.

Quetzal is everything I dreamed of when I reached out to Evelyn looking for a male to add to my program. This boy has all you could want! Perfect stability, tons of food drive, speedy, wicked smart...if I had to make one complaint about him, it would be that he does not have strong desire to tug. But nonetheless, he absolutely loves chase and I just love him!

To meet Quez is to fall in love with him. He absolutely adores meeting new people and is just a total ham. He has no environmental sensitivities - he comes out of the car happy and ready to do something, no matter where we are. He is one of the very best obedience prospects I have had, and I am very excited about his future career and eventually his future progeny.

PS, Quetzal is named after a beautiful, vibrant bird native to South America.
